Wildflowers and Lace – Julie and Robert’s Wedding at Newton Hall
Julie and Robert were one of the couples I had the pleasure of working for earlier this year for their wedding at Newton Hall. The couple travelled all the way up from Huddersfield to tie the knot at this beautiful Northumberland venue – which meant a lot of organisation and pre-wedding trips on their part!
The day went without a hitch however, and every element of Julie’s styling ideas came together perfectly. We filled vintage-style watering cans, buckets and jugs that had been sourced by the couple with a wildflower theme – carefully incorporating the Belle roses as featured in Julie’s bouquet and the overall colour palette of green, ivory and pink.
These stunning photographs have been taken by Paul Santos – a really talented photographer, all round nice guy and a pleasure to work with!
The table centres were perfectly planned I have to say – Julie and Robert had wooden plinths created especially for the day from local timber – each one designed to fit the coordinating vase/container on top. Then there were the super cute wooden tea-light holders too! This all sat a top green and ivory gingham table runners made by Julie’s mum (I liked them so much I now have some for brides to hire!) and surrounded by vintage books. The table numbers were personalised book covers featuring a thumb print design from the bride and groom – to match the design on their adorable wedding favour tags.
It really was a joy to help coordinate this wedding and provide the flowers and chair sashes for the day. If you are planning a wedding at Newton Hall please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your needs.
