Understated Elegance at Newton Hall for Rebecca and Robert

Happy New Year! Finally a chance to catch up on our real weddings from 2019 – thank you so much to all of our couples past and present for your support, it means the world to this small business!

This is just a beautiful wedding for a really lovely couple. Rebecca has been a joy to work with and wanted something classic and timeless for the day when it came to flowers, with a little bit of personality thrown in (my favourite thing to do!). To top it off, the brilliant Helen Russell was responsible for photographing the day and has created the dreamiest images for you to be inspired by. Please do check Helen out if you still need a photographer for your Newton Hall wedding – or any other venue for that matter as she travels all over.

When designing the flowers for this beautiful early summer wedding we started with a base of white, ivory and muted green foliage – so white peonies, roses, olive and eucalyptus. Then Rebecca wanted to add the lush mink tones of amnesia roses to add contrast in her bouquet, plus a trailing silk ribbon in the same colour.

Bridesmaid bouquets were kept to simple and beautiful white peonies with parvi eucalyptus and they looked so stunning next to the girls’ grecian style gowns.

The ceremony chairs were dressed with chiffon chair drapes and a sprig of foliage in each chair, plus urns of flowers and a long and low arrangement for the ceremony table.

For an extra special touch, the staircase at Newton Hall was decorated in garlands of gypsophila for a stunning entrance into the main hall.

Centrepieces were kept tall and large with plenty of foliage and a few statement blooms added – with lots of tables to fill Newton Hall the tall centres gave a really luxurious look to the day and the gold beaded charger plates finished the tables perfectly.

The couple added fab illuminated letters by our friends Coco Luminaire and their floral welcome sign too.

Rebecca’s amazing dress is from Bridal Wish in Blagdon, another supplier I thoroughly recommend – Wendy is simply brilliant when it comes to bridal.
