A Timeless White Wedding at Newton Hall for Aimee and Karl

This wedding was truly a joy to design for such a lovely couple. Aimee and Karl wanted a classic, elegant and timeless day with subtle nods to the more rustic setting of Newton Hall – one of our favourite Northumberland wedding venues! We started with a brief of white and green (the bridesmaid’s gown would be in a subtle sage green) and then worked to match this brief with the right flowers for the season, including bouquets of hydrangea and gorgeous white peony. These blowsy blooms were accented with delicate... Read the Rest →

Venue Spotlight: Tipi Weddings in Newcastle at The New Plough

Last September we had the pleasure of dressing the brand new venue The New Plough in Burnopfield, just ten minutes from Gateshead and 15 minutes from Newcastle. The pub has been completely refurbished and now offers an intimate ceremony room upstairs and amazing tipi tents in the grounds for your wedding. We teamed up with Scott Spock for the day who provided these fab photos of both the ceremony room and the ‘enchanted tipis’… Brought to you by the same creative team as The Roker Hotel and Let There Be... Venue Spotlight: Weddings at Barluga Morpeth

A few months back we were delighted to have been contacted by the team at Barluga in Morpeth to help style the venue ready for a wedding photo shoot. The function space (which is upstairs towards the back of the restaurant) is simply fab! It mixes the old with the new with a rustic, industrial chic that is so trendy right now – perfect for any celebration in the town centre. We worked with David Lawson Studios on the day and here are the stunning results…   The wooden bistro... Read the Rest →

Watering Cans, Lace and Wildflowers for Michelle and Tim at Newton Hall

This was a particularly gorgeous wedding we had the pleasure of decorating this spring at Newton Hall. Our pretty and popular ivory lace sashes were used on the chiavari chairs with aisle chair flowers in soft pink and cream hues. Tables were decorated with matching table runners and assorted cream watering cans filled with dusky pink and cream flowers. Mixed jam jars were filled with even more flowers and scattered on the tables. The bride provided her own chunky log plinths for an extra touch of rustic styling. These gorgeous... Read the Rest →

A Very Creative and Quirky Wedding Fair at The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle

Its taken a while for me to get round to doing this post as September and early October has just been so busy! Back on the 14th September Styled and Seated attended the Wedding Wonder Show at the brand new Biscuit Room at The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle. Wildflowers and Lace – Julie and Robert’s Wedding at Newton Hall

Julie and Robert were one of the couples I had the pleasure of working for earlier this year for their wedding at Newton Hall. The couple travelled all the way up from Huddersfield to tie the knot at this beautiful Northumberland venue – which meant a lot of organisation and pre-wedding trips on their part! The day went without a hitch however, and every element of Julie’s styling ideas came together perfectly. We filled vintage-style watering cans, buckets and jugs that had been sourced by the couple with a wildflower... Read the Rest →

Peonies and Rustic Glam at the National Glass Centre Wedding Fair

Last week we exhibited at the National Glass Centre with the Wedding Wonder Show in Sunderland – it was an evening event and we had a lovely time! So many brides came to check out the venue and the suppliers! I decided on a bit of a rustic theme for the table, with a few girly and glam touches – I had so many nice comments about the flowers that I want to share the photos with everyone! We used peony roses, ivory roses, memory lane roses, stocks and hydrangea... Read the Rest →
