Northumberland Barn Wedding with Awesome Tipi Reception for James and Christine

I’m so glad I get to share this wedding with you all – as the couple are some of our best friends and it meant the world to be able to help create their perfect Northumberland wedding day. James and Christine were the very first couple to book the beautiful Stanton Hall and Gardens for their wedding and they had found an absolute gem of a venue. They also must have great taste as the venue is now fully booked for 2018 and busy beyond that!

We loved working with Laura and her team at Stanton Hall, which is conveniently located near Morpeth and Longhorsely, to dress the barn for the wedding ceremony and the Tipis for the reception. Dawn Marie Wedding and Event Planning took care of all of the logistics to create the most perfect day – from arranging the catering, the tipi, the drinks, to coordinating everything on the day down to the finest detail, it couldn’t have been possible without her expertise!

Christine and the rest of the bridal party got ready at the lovely Linden Hall Hotel – just a few minutes from Stanton Hall and a great option for accommodation nearby.

For this wedding we created all of the blooms for the day – including the bridal bouquet, buttonholes, bridesmaid bouquets and all the venue flowers. The theme chosen was to be rustic yet elegant with plenty of romance and a little vintage greenery. We used amnesia roses to coordinate with the bridesmaid dresses and the most beautiful O’Hara roses to match the champagne hue of the bride’s amazing Annsul Y gown.

Back at the venue we dressed the ceremony barn with our ivory chiffon chair drapes and copper lanterns and then added a large garland of greenery to create an informal archway at the end of the aisle. Pillars were dressed with fairy lights and foliage and our vintage milk churns filled with flowers greeted guests at the door.

Little Miss Boyco Photography has done another amazing job with these stunning images – they really do show off the wedding day to its very best and I couldn’t recommend Wiesia enough for dreamy, romantic and natural wedding photography.

Within the Tipi the long tables were dressed with assorted jars, bottles and vases of flowers to create an eclectic look with our dusty pink gauze table runners. For the table plan we created a palette planter and covered with potted plants and greenery as a nod to the surrounding woodland setting. We loved the couple’s personalised table numbers!

The amazing naked cake was brought by the talented Cakes by Lottie McPhees – I tasted it and it was delicious! Plus the meal for the day was provided by the Fat Hippo burger company – how cool is that?

As the day turned into night the entire venue glistened with fairy lights to create a really magical atmosphere and it really showed off the potential Stanton Hall has to feel intimate and relaxed yet perfect for a summer evening party.

We hope you enjoyed browsing through this wedding as much as we enjoyed being a part of it! All suppliers are listed below and if you would like to enquire about your own Newcastle or Northumberland wedding flowers get in touch here.
