All That Glistens – Daisy and Matt’s Intimate and Super Stylish Vermont Hotel Wedding
Well anyone that is a lover of peonies (that would be me!) will absolutely adore this glamorous Vermont Hotel wedding in Newcastle. Taking place in June, Daisy and Matt’s wedding was full of stylish details and had a luxurious colour palette of red, gold and navy. Although an intimate affair, the wedding was perfectly suited to the Art Deco styling of the Vermont Hotel ballroom and meant that the couple could be as fancy as they pleased when it came to styling the room.
We absolutely adore Daisy’s quirky wedding dress style and it fitted perfectly with everything else on the day! The brief was for the bouquets to be full of blousy red blooms and plenty of foliage so we used a mix of red and coral peonies and eucalyptus with olive foliage, with smaller versions for the bridesmaids and a touch of navy thistle to match their gowns.
For the ceremony we used our ivory chiffon drapes on the chairs plus gold sequin table cloths on the signing tables. Gold candelabra were used to add more flowers into the space and to match the floral arrangement at the front of the aisle.
I have to say photographer Paul Liddement has done a stunning job as always, capturing the couple in the most romantic way and making the very best use of the Vermont Hotel’s historic city surroundings.
The reception had added wow factor with this dessert table that we created with crates, sequins, cake stands and flowers, used to frame the huge wedding cake.
Table centres were a mix of gold candelabra and glass vases with blooms, navy table runners and gold tea lights.
We heard the couple had a brilliant day with all of their friends and family and we loved designing the flowers and decor inline with their vision. We’ll finish with this beautiful rooftop shot overlooking the city – thanks again for having us Daisy and Matt!
