Choosing Your Colour – Sometimes Neutral Comes Naturally
Some of the most elegant weddings I have dressed use neutral coloured sashes to create a clean and crisp look. Ivory, silver, champagne, black and pale gold have all made an appearance this year to stunning effect.
Some of my bride’s set out with a very specific look in mind, others are too indecisive to choose just one colour and keep things simple with gorgeous ivory – as with Jill’s wedding at Matfen Hall.
Bride Alison chose her shining silver sashes after struggling to find the exact match to her pale/dusky purple Alfred Sung bridesmaid dresses. After attempting to find the right match, we decided to keep the flowers purple and choose silver to accentuate the silver candelabra and cameo brooch.
Black, gold or champagne sashes against an ivory or white chair cover will always look timeless and beautiful, and you can always use your flowers for a punch of colour.
Of course if you just can’t tear yourself away from purple, pinks or even the trendy yellow for 2014, then we will always do our very best to colour match your organza or taffeta sash.
