Northumberland Barn Wedding with Awesome Tipi Reception for James and Christine

I’m so glad I get to share this wedding with you all – as the couple are some of our best friends and it meant the world to be able to help create their perfect Northumberland wedding day. James and Christine were the very first couple to book the beautiful Stanton Hall and Gardens for their wedding and they had found an absolute gem of a venue. They also must have great taste as the venue is now fully booked for 2018 and busy beyond that! We loved working with... Read the Rest →

A Fancy Flower Wall for Fashionable Northumberland Couple Jayne and Jack

This was such a lovely wedding for us to be a part of. Jayne and Jack ordered our full flower wall to add the finishing touch to their beautiful wedding at Woodhill Hall in Northumberland. We added a personalized sign with the couple’s hashtag for the day – and it was a delight to see all the images come in on Instagram as the wedding guests uploaded. The couple also opted for our delicate lace chair sashes and pearl chair backs – the perfect all-white option to match the interior... Read the Rest →

Blush Blooms for an Idyllic Alnwick Garden Wedding in Northumberland

This is hands down one of our favourite weddings of the year! The lovely Bridie and Dan married in a traditional church ceremony near home and then traveled to one of our top venues; the amazing Alnwick Garden for their wedding reception. Bridie had the most sophisticated yet relaxed taste and chose stunning peonies and nude roses and stocks for her and her bridesmaids’ bouquets, the buttonholes and candelabra table centres – all captured here in style by our friend Helen Russell Photography. The couple complemented the flowers perfectly with... Read the Rest →

Classic Spring Style at Durham Castle for James and Laura

We were honoured to be asked to provide the bouquets and venue flowers for James and Laura – as I had previously styled Laura’s cousin Lizzie’s wedding just last summer. The setting for the wedding was simply spectacular – Durham Castle. As both James and Laura had attended Durham University they were able to be married in the exclusive castle and the the accompanying chapel. Pumpkin Events dressed the room to perfection and we provided the bouquets, buttonholes, flowers for the tables, a large top table arrangement and flowers for... Read the Rest →

Glistening Christening! Venue Styling for Enza’s Christening in Newcastle at As You Like It

That’s right, it’s not all about weddings here at Styled and Seated! We were over the moon to be asked to dress the christening of Enza that took place in Jesmond with the following party at the quirky As You Like It and are so happy to be able to share some images by the very talented Katie Byram Photography… Having dressed many weddings at the venue we knew which spaces to fill with pretty pink flowers for the party. We also designed the dessert table and worked with Enza’s... Read the Rest →

Vintage with a Whimsical Twist – Savannah and JJ at Healey Barn

Last September two of our dearest friends tied the knot at the fantastic Healey Barn in Northumberland, just outside of Corbridge. We were lucky enough to attend the day as guests and help bride Savannah style up her day. She put a lot of thought and planning into some gorgeous DIY touches, including bunting, balloons and props, and we added the chair decor and table runners for the day. These are our own little shots of the ceremony set-up – we used ivory lace chair hoods and added a sprig... Read the Rest →

Blush with Blue Hydrangea and Chiffon Chair Drapes at Beamish Hall

We loved this wedding at Beamish Hall! Sam and Indre we so lovely to work with and I loved their chosen colour scheme of pale blue, blush and ivory. We created the bouquets, buttonholes and venue flowers for the day and dressed the chairs with our ivory chiffon chair drapes. Images by the very lovely Little Miss Boyco Photography, we can’t wait to work with them again later in the year!     We provided the flowers for the hat box table centres, but the very lovely Mother of the... Natural and Autumnal Outdoor Wedding – A Styled Shoot in Northumberland

Here is part two of our fantastic shoot day with Emily Cromarty Photography – we changed up the setting to make use of the stunning manicured gardens at Broomhouse Farmhouse and showcase an outdoor wedding setting with an enchanting autumnal feel. There’s also a little bit of a country and western vibe thanks to brilliant real life couple number two – Steve and Jules! We loved their unique style and it really worked with the look we were trying to achieve for this part of the shoot. The same bunch... Read the Rest →

Venue Spotlight: Friar’s Well on the Alnwick Castle Estate

After dressing the impressive Alnwick Castle for a photo shoot for their wedding brochure last year, we were delighted to be asked back to help style the new exclusive wedding venue that Northumberland Estates has to offer. Friar’s Well is a private and intimate venue set in the secluded Hulne Park yet just minutes away from the centre of Alnwick. We teamed up with Focal Point Photography to capture a ceremony, reception and dinner party setting for the new wedding brochure.   We love the neutral colours in this room... Read the Rest →

Romance and Rose Gold – A Winter Wedding Styled Shoot in Northumberland with Emily Cromarty Photography

When a friend suggests an epic styled photo shoot to boost their wedding photography portfolio how can you possibly say no?! Emily wanted to stage a number of styled photo shoots to show off her skills as a wedding photographer and present different themes and concepts for each one. The first two shoots took place at the lovely Broomhouse Farmhouse – a classically styled manor house near to the Scottish borders and just south of Berwick Upon Tweed. The owner Mandy welcomed the idea of staging two bridal shoots in... Read the Rest →
